Crossmedia Performance
Moments of Sound and Motion
concept and visuals: Alexander König - www.invitriol.de
camera and directing: Gudrun Weiler – www.weilerfilm.de
production and technical coordination: Christian Müller – www.eyecatchproductions.de
The audience experiences a symbiosis of state of the art multiple projections on diverse surfaces, animated and live visuals, music performances culminating in a powerful lighting firework. During the performance moving images come to life, leave their projection spaces to become one with the lighting and architectural design of the Akademiehof, merging with music. The fixed picture converges into modern music-driven realtime animation.
"Moments of Sound and Motion" focuses on the age-long liaison of film and music, sound and motion. This show integrates prominent historic developments such as the "Laterna Magica", in the 18th and 19th century widely known as "magic lantern", the period of silent movies, multimedia surround-sound and show effects of the 21st century.
"Moments of Sound and Motion" is internationally supported by musicians from the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the leading Hungarian orchestras based in the cultural metropolis Pécs.
